Creating One Family Under God
"UPF's Approach to Peace on the African Continent" was presented to ACN members at their meeting on Sunday, Nov. 20th. The elaborate efforts and many projects of UPF International were seen through a video presentation, reports on Africa Day 2011, and reflections on UPF founders' visit to Nigeria in July of this year. A brief report was also given on a subsequent UPF International Leadership Conference (ILC) held in Abuja, Nigeria's capital.
Several ACN members expressed interest and concerns about: 1), what was being done on the grassroot level, 2), for unity among the African countries, 3), problems of UN unfairness and atrocities in Africa, and 4), funding for UPF activities throughout the region.
They were assured that UPF's vision and activities were indeed universal, comprehensive and embracing, impacting the grassroot level as well as the global level. That the vision of UPF's founders of being "One Family Under God" extends to all humankind and is rooted in God' original ideal of Creation. UPF is tirelessly working for the unification of all nations and all peoples transcending race, religion and ethnicity; for Africa, the effort and investment is no different.
In regards to the UN, UPF is an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) in special consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council and is working to assist in accomplishing the UN Development Goals for the new millennium. UPF is considered by its founders as the "Abel UN." Through its International Leadership Conferences (ILC), UPF conducts educational conferences for good governance and leadership throughout the world.
Concerning funding; UPF International, as a non-profit organization, is funded by its affiliated business enterprises throughout the world. It is not funded by governments of any nation. We welcome all peoples to actively participate in the transforming process to create a unified world befitting God's eternal ideal, this is long overdue.
