Creating One Family Under God

The Fifth Annual Clergy and Community Leaders Breakfast gathering honored the works of Dr. Jeffrey Spence, past president and CEO of Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities (VCIC), and Mr. Jonathan C. Zur, current president of same organization.

Said organization works with schools, businesses and communities to achieve success by addressing prejudices of all types, in order to improve academic achievements, productivity in the workplaces, and enhance trust.

The keynote speaker for the event was Dr. Caleb Oladipo, Baptist Theological Seminary of Richmond, VA. He spoke on the topic: "Can Religions be catalysts for Peace and Unity?" His conclusion is that religions (e.g: Judaism, Christianity and Islam) help with establishing the connectedness between man and God and is effective in enhancing the brotherhood of humanity. He said, "God created us all: black, white and yellow..., we are children of one God."
